Daniel P. Calvisi
          is the President of The Writers' Building, an exclusive network of
screenwriters, headquartered in Los Angeles, but with members
that hail from all over the globe.

Dan is a professional movie studio Reader, Teacher, Screenwriter
and private Story Consultant. His employers have included
Miramax Films, Dimension Films, Twentieth Century Fox, New
Line Cinema, and Polygram Filmed Entertainment. He has worked
for executives who developed the films Chicago, Ulee's Gold,
Spy Kids, Scream 2 & 3
, and Chocolat, among others.

Dan has written hundreds of coverages on the job and worked
with over 400 private clients as a Story Consultant since 1998. He
is a published writer in Script magazine and has taught screenwriting
and story analysis at four educational institutions, including the New
School University in New York City and Cabrillo College Extension
in Aptos, California.

As a screenwriter, Dan has written on assignment and enjoys
writing on spec like all of the members of The Writers' Building. He
specializes in Thrillers and Comedy.

He holds a B.F.A. in Film and Television from NYU’s Tisch School
of the Arts.
